Introducing Paddington: sovereign agentic infrastructure
Code is nearly free now. What a company owns is the infrastructure its agents run on, and the people who design it, build it, trust it and run it. That is what we build.
For forty years the expensive part of software was writing it. That is over. A coding agent will write the app you describe this afternoon, and another one tomorrow. When code costs nothing, the code stops being the asset.
What is left is everything the code runs on. Where the data lives. Who, or what, is allowed to act. What happens when an agent is wrong. Whether you can prove what happened. Whether you can leave. That is infrastructure, and it is the product now.
What Paddington is
Paddington is a sovereign cloud for agentic applications, built on Kilter. Kilter is the platform: one file declares everything an app and its agents need, from Postgres to durable workflows to a model gateway, and the Runtime provisions it, wires it in and runs it on Kubernetes you never have to touch. Paddington runs Kilter for you in Canada, the EU and the USA. Miniscalers run it on their own hardware. You can run it yourself.
- Sovereign. Your region, your cluster or ours, and the right to leave. The same
kilter.yamlruns anywhere Kilter does. - Agentic-first. Built for agents to operate and to be operated by agents: declared services, one identity plane for people and agents, GitOps deploys, policy as code.
- Complete. 42 services in the catalog, so the next thing your agent needs is a line in a file instead of a procurement cycle.
Easier than Lovable. Better than Supabase.
Two lines we stand behind. Lovable makes the first screen easy; Kilter makes the fifth day easy, because login, roles, schema changes, secrets and deploys are solved once by the platform. Supabase is a very good Postgres; agents need a great deal more than a database. The next two posts make each case in full.
Who it is for
Companies that want to go fully agentic, one value stream at a time. IT teams with a dozen pilots and nothing in production. Business owners who are told every platform is secure and governed, and want to check. Each has its own page, and its own post this week.
What is open today
Paddington is in closed beta with a 14-day trial: real Kubernetes, sovereign infrastructure, no card required. Request access and deploy an app in your first five minutes. If you work through an agent, it can request access for you at paddington.io/mcp.
Code is nearly free now. Infrastructure is the product.
